Aug 25th Therapeutic Riding Volunteer Training

This orientation and training is for Horse-Leaders, Side-Walkers, Coaches, Hosts and Groomers for our Therapeutic Programs. See times on sign-up for specifics.

Anyone 15 yrs or older who wish to be a Horse-Leader OR Side-Walker OR Coach for our Seasonal or Year-round Therapeutic Riding lessons MUST attend training/orientation unless you have attended this training since September 2017. Horse-leaders must have some horse handling experience and knowledge of horse behavior and communications. No horse experience is needed for side-walkers. Horse-Leader training will last ~1+ hours and must attend Side-walker training. Side-walker and Caoch training will last ~1 hour. Please make sure you have filled out your Volunteer Registration Paperwork and bring it with you to the training.
*** Please wear closed shoes. This is for your safety! No open shoes are allowed and include crocs, clogs, sandles, flip flops or shoes with holes below the ankle.
***Please Note: The orientation is for Horse-Leaders, Side-Walkers, Coaches, Hosts and Groomers for our Therapeutic Programs. Additional training for ground and facility maintenance will be offered on a separate day.
