Horses for Hope Trail Ride and Obstacle Challenge

Bring your own horse and join us at the Horses for Hope Trail Ride and Obstacle Challenge! This is a family-friendly event. Please, no alcohol on the trail! Your registration includes dinner & entertainment on Saturday, mini-clinics & demos, and primitive camping. You may contain your horse with corral panels, hot wire (you’ll need a battery or solar powered charger), or other fence systems that you bring. There are 6, 12 and 18-mile trail ride options. The trails are mostly packed sand and are suitable for barefoot horses and drivers. The Obstacle Challenge will have Youth (under 18), Novice (over 18 and never won an obstacle challenge), and Open divisions. All divisions will have In-hand and Under Saddle classes. Adults who have won an obstacle challenge may school the Novice division.

The Trail Ride (or one Obstacle Course class) is $30 in advance or $35 at the gate for adults and $20 for youth under 18. Non-riders are $10. Two events, ie the Trail Ride & 1 Obstacle class, are $50 for adults and $30 for youth in advance and all events are $75 for adults and $50 for youth in advance.  The first event is $35 for adults and $20 for youth at the gate and additional events at the gate will be $25 each for adults and $15 for youth. We will offer a sloppy joe supper on Friday and coffee & breakfast items on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Please make a donation to HfH in exchange for these extras!

HfH Annual Benefit Trail Ride and Obstacle Course

Mark your calendar now for the Horses for Hope Annual Trail Ride. This ride is for horse owners, HfH is not providing horses. We’re adding an Obstacle Challenge on Saturday this year!  Main ride activities (trails and obstacle course) are on Saturday 4/14/18 so you can come early that morning if you prefer not to camp.  You can do the trail ride, obstacle challenge, or both. Pre-registrants, kids, and riders participating in multiple events receive a discount! Click here to sign up. Primitive camping is available Fri and Sat nights. There will be 6, 12, and 18 mile guided rides on Saturday through the beautiful pine forest of the Sandhills Gamelands. This ride is kid friendly! The trails are suitable for barefoot horses. Please, no alcohol on the trail. Nicholas Moncada Photography will be on site for photos on the trail and action shots of the Obstacle Course. A limited number of mini-shoots are available Saturday morning for you and your horse. Remaining time slots are 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 and 9:00.
