TR Volunteer Orientation

All folks 15 yrs or older who wish to be a Horse-Leader OR Side-Walker for our Spring therapeutic riding session MUST attend training/orientation unless you have attended this training within the last year and were an active horse-leader or side-walker in the 2017 Fall session.  If you wish to have a refresher you are still welcome to attend.  For horse-leaders it is recommended you have some horse handling experience and knowledge of horse behavior and communications.  No horse experience needed for side-walkers.  Horse-Leader training will last up to 2 hours – you only need to attend ONE of the dates for horse-leader training, however, you will also be required to attend one of the volunteer orientations.  Side-walker training is a part of the volunteer orientation which will last up to 1 1/2 hours and you only need to attend ONE of the orientation dates.  Please click here to sign up for this training.  Please email volunteer@horsesforhope.org if you would like more information.
