Able-bodied Riding Lessons
English, Western, Dressage, Jumping and Barrel Racing lessons are designed for able-bodied individuals who wish to learn how to ride a horse and enhance their riding abilities. We also have competitive riding in shows – it is a fun way of using the horse to promote a positive atmosphere and to showcase the skills and efforts of our equestrian students. E-mail lessons@horsesforhope.org for more information about lessons or to get signed up for lessons.
- Horsemanship Classes Natural Horsemanship is a philosophy of working with horses based on the horse’s natural instincts and methods of communication, with the understanding that horses do not learn through fear or pain, but rather from pressure and the release of pressure. We offer four levels of Horsemanship classes.
- Beginner Level Horsemanship
- Intermediate Level Horsemanship
- Advanced Level Horsemanship
- Professional Level Horsemanship

Volunteering
Horses for Hope relies on volunteers in all areas of the program – grooming, side-walking, horse-leaders, summer camp help and MORE. Experience with horses is not required for most of our needs – orientation and training sessions are provided on a regular basis. Horses for Hope is also a place where those who need community service hours can come and volunteer. E-mail volunteer@horsesforhope.org for more information. Other Activities
We offer birthday rides, mini-horse activities, off-site appearences with our mini horses and we are looking to expand to driving in the future which is a way to enjoy the freedom of the horse, without actually riding the horse, by riding in a horse drawn cart.
