Summer Camps! PeeWee Camps!

Come be a part of our exciting Horse Camps! Our activities include: Horseback riding (every day weather permitting), grooming, tacking, learning safety around horses, working with our miniature horses, other horse-related activities, crafts, and games!

Standard Horse Camp is for children ages 7-12, Pee Wee Camp is for children ages 4-6, and Special Needs Horse Camp is for children ages 8-15. Pee Wee and Special Needs are ONLY from 9 am – 12 pm. We offer half day (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.) and full day (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.) options during our standard riding camp weeks, except where noted. Scroll down for camp week dates, pricing, and more information.

You do NOT have a spot until your deposit and registration forms have been received.

When our camps are full you can place your rider on our waiting list for the week you want. At the bottom of the signup  you may place your rider on the waiting list – please state the week(s) you want. If a spot opens up, we will contact you by email or text.

Our facility is located in southern Wake County at: 2909 Banks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603

Prices are as follows:

$260/week – half day (8 am–12 pm) Standard Camp beginner & intermediate riders.

$475/week – full day (8 am – 4 pm) Standard Camp beginner and intermediate riders (full day camps must have at least 4 full day campers to hold a full day camp week).

$235/week – (9 am – 12 pm) Special Needs Camp and Pee Wee Camp.

The cost of camp includes a $50 non-refundable registration fee.  The $50 registration fee is due within one week of your reservation due to the high demand for our camps. Your spot is not secure until your deposit is received.  The balance is due 30 days before the start of the first day of your confirmed camp week.  Parents must complete and return all forms prior to the camper’s first day (hard copies). Spots are limited – campers are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration forms and deposit (per week/child) can be mailed to 5301 Umstead Rd, Fuquay Varina NC 27526. If you need to cancel your reservation, we will refund all but the registration fee up to four weeks before the beginning of the selected camp week.

Campers are expected to arrive at camp in long pants (jeans, leggings or riding pants) and smooth sole boots with heels (suitable for riding). Campers should expect to get dirty – so they need to bring a change of clothes, shorts and tennis shoes.  Please bring bug spray and sunscreen as needed. Snacks and water are provided. Lunch is not provided.

A typical camp day (for the standard riding camp) can be as follows (schedule is subject to change and not guaranteed):

7:45-8:00 Campers arrive

8:00-8:30 Groom horses and tack up for riding.

8:45-9:30 First group RIDES!  Second group does mini horse activities. 

9:45-10:30 Second group RIDES!  First group does mini horse activities. 

10:30-10:45 Cool down and clean up horses – clean and put away tack

10:45-11:00 Break and snack time

11:00-12:00 Crafts, games and learning about horses

12:00-12:15 Half-day Campers go home

12:00-12:30 Full day Campers groom and tack for their second ride of the day (SUBJECT TO CHANGE dependent on availability of horses)

12:30-1:15 Campers RIDE bareback Monday, English Tuesday, Western Wednesday, choice Thursday, Trail Friday

1:15-1:30 Cool down and clean up horses – clean and put up tack

1:30-1:50 Lunch

1:50-2:30 Mini horse activities

2:30-4:00 Horsey games, trivia, and movies

On rainy days we do games, arts & crafts and watch horsey movies.  On Tuesday and Thursday riders will ride on the trails.  On Fridays there is fun riding and mini horse competition with ribbons (family and friends are encouraged to attend the ribbon ceremony).
